The best way, that's what most people on this list recommend, is to use
this chain:

transport
postfix ---------> amavisd-new -----> trendmicro && anyotherproduct

Put Trendmicro behind Postfix, not before it.

I take the freedom to ignore offlist messages. Open Source software
requires open access to information that tells all of us how to run it.
Don't deprive the community of that!

IMSS works exactly like amavisd with postfix.
It does
25:postfix ------> 10025:IMSS -----> 10026:postfix -----> next_mx

The virus-scanner can be integrated with amavisd-new:

http://www.ijs.si/software/amavisd/

which also integrates SpamAssassin. If you're thinking of using the
Trend smtp listener I'd recommend against it; postfix will give you
a great deal more flexibility, and you don't want to have to accept
and bounce undeliverable mail.

I've previously posted issues we've seen with using Trend Micro (IMSS =
and viruswall), so you might want to review the archive. I would =
recommend Fsecure or Sophos with dspam or SpamAssassin.

This way it looks like good solution

Regarding Spam protection shall I use the anti spam engine that comes
with IMSS or the open source solutions dspam or spamassassin

Also Which is the best between dspam and spamassassin for spam
protection

Also Murali you should checkout clamav, http://www.clamav.net/ it's an
opensource virus scanner that works great!

I'd recommend amavis over IMSS, more flexablitly if you ever wanted to
move to a different virus scanner/antispam engine.
