so then I said to someone about his job search (this was the week of the
last check), that if he were serious about job hunting he would apply
everywhere even Hooters.
He thought a minute, and then realized it was close to home, and asked the
waitress friend for an application...
and based on her representations, he was in fact offered a job
so he told his girlfriend he got a job, but not where
and when he finally confessed
she yelled at him and then said WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING THERE ANYWAY
so he blamed it on ME

the next two days o vacation were spent doing penance - shopping for
slimming clothes

Hey I say -- he has a job and that is all that matters
