Hi,
I'm thinking of adding Amavis-New + ClamAV to my Postfix
configuration. Does anyone have any feedback regarding how well ClamAV
works?

Thanks,
John

I've been using it for 4 months and not had any viruses slip through yet -
it works very well indeed.

ClamAV works well. It comes with a program to do automatic updates of
the virus signatures. The daemonized version, clamd, is preferred for
performance. The command line scanner is a backup scanner in
amavisd-new. The virus signature database is not quite as extensive
nor updated quite as often as H+BEDV's AntiVir or FRISK's F-Prot, two
commercial scanners. You get probably 95% or better of the protection
of the commercial scanners. I give it a thumbs up.
